The Loyalty program was created with the aim of adding utility to PlanetWatch licenses even before they are connected to a device, and boosting the network’s growth, which is crucial to accomplishing our project’s mission.

It encompasses special perks for license owners depending on the type of license and when it was purchased. 

Now that the initial structure for the Loyalty program has been fully revealed (part I & part II), we decided to prepare this pocket guide to help you find the information you are looking for, without having to waste a lot of time researching across our several previous blog posts. You’re welcome 😉

Fundamentals

PlanetWatchers who are members of the Loyalty Program can receive two different kinds of NFTs depending on the cohort they belong to:
– Membership badge NFT
– Membership discount NFTs

Upon receiving the membership badge NFT, you can 
– Hold it in your wallet (it will be displayed in “MyCollectibles” – both on the Explorer and on the App) 
– Trade it on our NFT marketplace in case you don’t wish to keep it

Upon receiving membership discount NFTs, you can 
– Redeem them on TEA Group’s e-commerce store to buy a bundle or a single device
– Trade them on our NFT marketplace in case you don’t wish to use them

Keep in mind that you can boost the value of your membership discount NFT by using exactly 100 PW:Credit tokens during the redemption process of the membership discount NFT.

For the time being, perks are available only to Old and Middle Age inactive licenses (i.e., those bought until 1st January 2022 or those bought from 2nd January 2022 to 30th June 2022, respectively). However, perks for Prehistoric Age (lifetime licenses) and New Age (those bought from 1st July 2022 onwards), as well as for holders of currently active licenses, will be added over time.

Beware that:

  • KYC is mandatory to be eligible for the Loyalty Program.
  • Since perks can be accumulated (and sold) if you hold multiple qualifying licenses, we have removed the 5-license limit introduced earlier in 2022, and replaced it with a limit of 100 licenses per each type
  • All membership discount NFTs expire on 31st December 2024.

Personas

The Loyalty program was designed keeping in mind all PlanetWatchers. There are three main personas that benefit from this program in different ways. Have a look below to identify which one resonates more with you and how to proceed:

1) You have an inactive PlanetWatch license and are planning to buy a device

By joining the Loyalty Program you will have access to special discounts on devices. All it takes is 3 simple steps:

  • Go to MyLicenses, select your license and subscribe to the Loyalty Program. You will be automatically entitled to get:
    – Cohort badge NFT matching your license type and duration
    – Discount NFT(s) depending on the type of the license you have selected
  • Go to MyCollectibles and click on your discount NFT(s). Before redeeming it, select the platform you wish to apply the voucher in TEA Group Europe or TEA Group North America. 

    During the redemption process, in case you have 100 PW:Credit tokens, you can fuse them with your initial discount to increase its value by 95€ or 100$.
  • Go to MyVouchers and copy the discount code from your discount NFT. 

    Then, you just have to log in to TEA Group’s e-commerce* and buy the device you want with your Loyalty discount code.

*Remember, you have to create an account if you do not have one already

2) You have an inactive PlanetWatch license but are not thinking of getting yourself a device

By joining the Loyalty Program you will be able to extract value from the discounts you have special access to but are not interested in using and trade them for Planets instead. All it takes is 2 simple steps:

  • Go to MyLicenses, select your license and subscribe to the Loyalty Program. You will be automatically entitled to get:
    – Cohort badge NFT matching your license type and duration
    – Discount NFT(s) depending on the type of the license you have selected
  • Once you have the discount NTF(s) on your wallet, go to our NFT marketplace, list it and put it up for sale. 

    You can learn how to do it here. Please note that you can set the Planets price based on Algo to reduce your exposure to volatility.

    Then, you just have to wait for your discount NFT(s) to be purchased by another PlanetWatcher.

3) You don’t have an inactive PlanetWatch license but are looking into options to purchase a discounted device

In case you don’t have an inactive license, you can still take advantage of the Loyalty Program and lay your hands on special discounts. All it takes is 4 simple steps:

  • Browse our NFT marketplace to find a Loyalty discount for the product you want to buy. 
  • Once you have purchased the discount NFT, move it to one of the wallets connected to your PlanetWatch account.
  • Go to MyCollectibles and click on your discount NFT. Before redeeming it, select the platform you wish to apply the voucher in – TEA Group Europe or TEA Group North America. 

    During the redemption process, in case you have 100 PW:Credit tokens, you can fuse them with your initial discount to increase its value by 95€ or 100$.
  • Go to MyVouchers and copy the discount code from your discount NFT. 

    Then, you just have to log in to TEA Group’s e-commerce* and finally get your discounted device.

FAQs

Am I automatically enrolled in the Loyalty Program?
No, you must opt in and accept a new set of Terms & Conditions. 

How can I join the Loyalty Program?

Can I join the Loyalty Program at any time?
You will have until 31st December 2023 to join and claim your perks. In case you wish to unsubscribe from the Loyalty Program, you have 14 days to do so, provided that you give back to PlanetWatch all the benefits you have received (membership discount NFTs and PW:Credit tokens if applicable).

Is it possible to belong to more than one cohort? 
Yes. You are eligible to be part of more than one cohort if:
– you own different types of licenses;
– you own licenses bought in different time periods = ages.

What happens if I own multiple licenses for the same Type and Age?
Each owned license makes you eligible to claim one membership package. So, if you own multiple licenses for the same Type and Age you can claim multiple membership packages.

What happens to my unused license once I opt in to the Loyalty Program with it?
By opting in to the Loyalty Program, your corresponding license will get activated. However, the license runtime will only start counting from the moment it is connected to a compliant sensor.  

What can I do with my membership discount NFTs?
You can either redeem them on TEA Group’s e-commerce store to buy a bundle/single device OR trade them on our NFT marketplace in case you don’t wish to use them (learn how here). Either way, these options may enable you to extract considerable value from your license, exceeding the value of a license refund.

Can I use more than one membership discount NFT to purchase one device?
No, membership discount NFTs cannot be stacked.

What happens if the claiming process fails and shows the message “Indexer out of sync“?
It’s likely that the transaction has timed out. Please repeat the process.
